Here is my written evaluation. I have separated this from my actual presentation on the four questions as it enables viewing of my evaluation in a more literal form and at a more consistent flow of information.

Evaluation

This is an evaluation of my entire media assignment in which we created a music video, digipak and album advert for the song by Dot Rotten known as Determination.

Here are the images we took of our artist during our photo shoot I hope to use some of these images in my album construction and digipak construction in photo shop in order to construct a well produced album,digipak and album advert.

Final Digipak

Here is my final digipak for my artists album persona. I ensured the concept of yin and yang was kept constant throughout my digipak. I also made sure the images were not too one sided on the yin and yang spectrum which can be seen in all aspects of the digipak.

Final Album Advert

Here is my final produce of my album advert promoting the album Persona. What I intended to do with this album advert is to represent the light and dark side of the artists personality with different colored font which represents the "good" and "evil" side of the artist. The font color also conveys the concept of yin and yang that throughout my project i have been aiming to show to the audience. In terms of the image itself i wanted to represent the artist as a classy and stoic through the use of a suit but in order to show that the artist is still in touch with the streets my artist is wearing Nike "Huaraches" with the suit to show he hasn't fully changed himself.

1st Draft of Album Advert

Here I have produced a draft of an album advert which will be sued in order to advertise my artist's album/digipak. I have uploaded it onto my blog in order to get peer feedback on ways to improve on it and use this feedback to improve on the album advert and construct a full album advert which is up to the highest standards.

1st Draft digipak

This is the first draft for my digipak. i have uploaded this in order to receive informed feedback by my peers on ways to improve it which will help me construct a well formed digipak that matches our artist and music video genre.

Album Cover Mood Board

Looking at these magazine covers there are certain aspects each design I would like to incorporate into my own album construction as each one has a particular design choice that will work well with the genre of my artists and his overall design. From “Wretchorespective” I am considering taking the white and black style of the artist itself in the “Wretchrospecitve” album cover the artists has a white shirt but is accompanied with black arms. The white represents the artist good/clean side and the black on his arms represents his dark side and the overall image is that he represents both the good and dark side of music. I think this really goes with our artist who is a young man from the dark side of the roads trying to leave his past behind him and enter a new clean/good life. In regards to the “Grime to five and Are your entertained?” covers I will use the calm facial expressions the artists are showing in my own artist to leave the genre of our music not to be expressed by the artist himself rather by the other designs on the album and digipak. Next is the “sick individual 2 and the play your positions” which I hope to take the effects style from the “SI2” album which appears to be brush artwork effects to simulate movement and emphasis and from the “PYP” cover perhaps use the artist body positioning during my own photo-shoot of the artist as this pose really suits my artist cool image that he has been portraying in the music video. Finally in the “Momentum 2” cover I really like the idea of the colour alteration to the whole artist’s appearance to simplified black and white of different shadings all over the artist’s costume. This really emphasizes the yin and yang aspect of the artist’s I’ve wanted to portray from the very beginning.

Digipak Draft Design

These are drafts for my digipak that I will construct out of these designs. I have put these on my blog in order to gain feedback from others on how to improve on these designs.

Here I have created 3 designs for my artist's name that will appear on my digipak and album i have also created a voting poll in order for people to vote and choose which design will be used.

Digipak Analysis

Here I had to analyse 3 digipak's in order to view their conventions and hopefully use this as a starting point on both the do's and dont's when creating a digipak.

This is our final upload for our groups music video of the song Dot Rotten Determination we have worked long and hard on this music video and we feel we have improved it in a way that represents our artist , genre and our ideologies perfectly.
