Feedback on Music Video

This is the feedback my group received for our music video when we showcased it to our class as a first draft . We have received quite a lot of good and informative feedback based on the artist, the concept of the video, how it has been edited and the locations used for the music video. We have also received feedback on how to improve the video in terms of cuts and editing techniques. There are parts in our video where the side angle camera angle is used frequently. Also where there are not enough edited cuts. Overall we have received more positive feedback than negative feedback and we will improve on parts which needs to be improved on in order to create a music video that lives up to the song.

Actor/actressess agreement forms signed

These contracts have been signed by the actors and actresses we will have for our music video  confirming them to be available in accordance to our planned film schedule. By having this I have a guarantee of full participation of the actors performing in my music video.

Screen auditions

This is the auditions for our artist. We held auditions to find the right person for our artist; the person who could match the artists image. We will have a poll for people to vote for the person who performed the best and that person will be made the artist.

Planning Pitch By Sage, Josesph and Dolvani

This is a video of our groups planning pitch. In this video we present to the class and teacher our ideas for our music video. We also talk about the narrative, the location, props and costumes we will be using, as well as the concept of the video and how we will incorporate these into our music video. This presentation is for the main purpose of helping people to understand what our video is about and what message it is trying to send out to audience and also to get preliminary thoughts and inquiries from an audiences first impressions.

Here the group and i had to create and upload a planning pitch and later give a presentation on it which showcases are ideas and what type of music video we hope to construct.

This is our groups focus group for our music video ideas. We pitched the concept of our music video idea to Kawsar, Maya and Hafsah and they gave us their opinions. By getting feedback on our ideas we can make changes accordingly before proceeding and alter how we produce our music video.

Audience Profile

Here I had to create and audience profile of someone who would usually be seen listening to our final chosen song/ music video to be created.

Mood Board

Here I have constructed a mood board of ideas for the creation of my groups music video for the Dot Rotten song Determination.

I included the top left image of money being handed from hand to hand as an idea in order to create a scene where the artist is getting paid for a gig but the money is smaller then he expected which causes an argument which will leads onto the bottom left image where I hope to create a scene where the payer slaps the money out for the artists hands and the artist is on his hands and knees trying to recover the scattered notes.

The 2nd image on the left and the middle image is where I hope most of the actual performance will take place in a dark room with a spotlight and a microphone. I believe this is a good idea as it sets a quite a mood along with song and the spotlight intensifies the performance and allows the artists emotions, body language and facial expressions to really come through.

The 2 top right images were included in this mood board as I want to create a scene where the lyrics specify how the artist use to rob people and hang around with his boys so I want to create a scene where the artist is wearing quite hood clothing and rolling around with his friends and another scene where he is scene robbing someone for money to get by.

The final bottom right image was included in order to create a scene which will paint the assumption near the end of the music video where the artist has made it which will bee seen by him performing aon a large stage which will allow the audience to assume that he is now a star performing at bigger and better gigs then he was at the beginning of the music video.

We chose this song because it hold great potential for a music video in its lyrics and chorus and will allow us to be creative when creating the video to go with it.

Before I actually got on to planning and creating my own music video from scratch I was tasked with replicating an already existing music video by my media teacher.
